About the Module
BİLGİDoğada, which was held for the first time in 2017 within the scope of Istanbul Bilgi University Summer School, is a special module that gives Istanbul Bilgi University students, the majority of whom are city residents, the opportunity to experience an environment and social life outside their own habits.
The main concept of the module is based on students being in contact with the natural, social and cultural environment that exists outside their own living spaces and Istanbul Bilgi University’s understanding of “learning for life, not for school”. It is aimed that the experiences that students will gain during BİLGİDoğada form an integrity with the courses they choose.
During the BİLGİDoğada module, which brings together learning, discovery and fun in nature, students;
- They will continue their 6-credit courses for 15 days at the primary school in Güzelköy, Ayvacık district of Çanakkale;
- They will participate in many seminars and workshops with content directly related to their courses;
- In the remaining time after classes and workshops, they will have the opportunity to spend time around Kaz Dağları (Mount Ida) and Assos
BİLGİDoğada module will be opened for students in two different semesters within the 2024-2025 Summer School and only 40 students will be able to register for each semester.
Students pay the course fee determined by Istanbul Bilgi University to participate in the module.
The course fee paid includes local transportation, accommodation, breakfast/lunch and workshops/seminars.
Registrations will be finalized upon approval by the module coordinator via e-mail or telephone.
